Joining the staff are associate attorneys William C. Phillips, Amelia C. Stevens and Joy D. Bonner. All three are 2020 graduates of the University of Georgia School of Law and are beginning their careers at Oliver Maner.

William C. Phillips Joins Esteemed Georgia Legal Firm Oliver Maner, LLP
Before completing his studies, Phillips was a summer associate for Oliver Maner in 2019. The Savannah native will focus on medical malpractice defense, family law, personal injury, and wrongful death cases in his new position. Previously, Phillips served as an intern for U.S. Representative Earl L. “Buddy” Carter in Washington, D.C., a summer associate with Oliver Maner, and a corporate counsel extern for Rollins, Inc. (parent company of Orkin). Phillips volunteers as an attorney advisor for the Boy Scouts of America Law and Government Explorer’s Program in his spare time.
Amelia C. Stevens Joins Esteemed Georgia Legal Firm Oliver Maner, LLP
Stevens is a native of Darien, Ga., and will focus on civil litigation defense, specifically government/municipal, county and correctional defense cases. She is currently a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association. Stevens has previously served as a summer intern for the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Aviation and Admiralty Litigation in Washington, DC, a summer associate with Oliver Maner, and a clerk for Superior Court Judge Roger B. Lane of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit. She also completed a fellowship through the Georgia Sea Grant Legal Program at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Outside of the duties at Oliver Maner law firm, Stevens volunteers her time as an Adult Exploring Advisor with the Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America through their Law & Government Exploring Program.
Joy D. Bonner Joins Esteemed Georgia Legal Firm Oliver Maner, LLP
Originally from Atlanta, Ga., Bonner will focus on government/municipal and county defense, state and local, and personal injury cases. Bonner is currently a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Savannah Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Between graduation and starting at Oliver Maner, she served as compliance coordinator and legal fellow for the University of Georgia Athletic Association. While in law school, Bonner served as Community Service Chair and third-year Executive Board Advisor for the Black Law Students Association and Vice President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. In her leisure time, Bonner enjoys live sporting events, fitness classes and throwing a frisbee with her Labradoodle, Cooper.
