YOUNG EARNS DOCTORATE OF PHILOSOPHY IN ROBOTICS FROM GEORGIA TECH
(ATLANTA, GA) Dr. Carol Young earned her Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Robotics Engineering. Her thesis is titled “Quantitative Analysis of Adaptiveness and Consistency of a Class of Online Learning Algorithms.” Young worked at Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut before she started her Ph.D. Her undergraduate degree is from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, with a dual B.S in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Japanese. Young graduated from Savannah Country Day in 2006. Young was an ARCS recipient (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) during her Ph.D. studies. THIRD ANNUAL SAVANNAH ROTARY READ-IN CALLS FOR VOLUNTEERS

LLS celebrated the individuals who will compete to earn the titles of Man, Woman and Students of the Year at the Charles H. Morris Center on Friday night with a crowd of over 200 supporters.
